Digital Music: Compare MP3 Players

Compare MP3 Players Before Purchase
Before you decide to drop some of your hard-earned money on a new portable MP3 player, its a really good idea to read an MP3 comparison website and compare MP3 players before you purchase one of them. If you just buy the very first one that you see in your local mall, Ill bet that you end up regretting it.

If you dont compare MP3 players before you buy one, you could possibly pay too much for the player, or even get one without features that you want. Did you know that a lot of players now allow you to store names and phone numbers on them? Others let you listen to the radio, read TXT notes, and even play games!

The Internet is Your Friend!
Most people dont think about using the internet when purchasing a portable MP3 player, they just head to the mall and check out the electronics store in there. Thats not a terrible idea, although if you look around online you can find many online stores that offer a much wider selection of players, and at better prices as well!

So far Ive owned two players in my life, and I know Ill end up owning a few more. Although they were all different players, I still went about purchasing them the same way; I would do extensive research before the purchase, and I would buy the player online. Its a good idea to be a well-informed consumer and know exactly what youre buying, and at the cheapest price possible.

Digital Music: USB MP3 Player

A USB MP3 Player
One problem people have with MP3 players is that it can take a while to transfer songs to the player, but thats not a big problem if you have a USB MP3 player. What this means is that your computer needs to have a USB port on it, and your player needs to support the USB cable as well. If it does, youre all set!

I know that my Creative Labs MP3 player and the iRvier MP3 player both support USB 2.0, and that most every other player could be considered a USB MP3 player as well, if they support USB 1.0 and 1.1. These numbers show the different versions of the USB cable, and you must make sure that your computer supports the right one before buying a player!

Which is Better?
USB 2.0 is obviously the better choice. Transferring an album to your MP3 player is very quick if youre connected to the computer using this cable. It takes only a few seconds! USB 1.1 takes a little longer to transfer, but not by much. USB 1.0 on the other hand can take quite a long time. On the upside though, you only have to transfer the songs to the portable MP3 player once. Once theyre on there, theyre on there!

Im not so concerned about speed that I would upgrade my computer just to make the transfer to my MP3 player quicker. The only piece of advice Id have to offer is just make sure that your computer has a USB port on the back. If it does, youre all set, and youre ready to start looking for some cool new MP3 players to buy!

Digital Music: MP3 Player Guide

Reading a MP3 Player Guide
Before purchasing MP3 players, one of the best things you can do is read an MP3 player guide. These MP3 player comparison sites will help you get a good idea about what features are on what players, and will eventually help you narrow down your selection to the one player that you think is best for you.

When I was looking to upgrade my Rio MP3 player, I read an MP3 player guide, and it helped me eventually settle on the Creative Labs MP3 player. Im quite happy with it, and it allows me to carry most of my CD collection with me at all times, and it fights right into my pants pocket! Its a great feeling to be able to do that.

What to Look for
When youre reading a player guide, its a good idea to make sure you read what extra features it has, how big the player is, what size storage it offers, and what connection it has to the computer. Depending on where you will be using the player, I would say that the size of the player and the amount of storage is the most important.

For me, amount of storage was more important than the size of the player itself. I wanted to be able to have a lot of music with me at all times rather than having a very tiny player that could be strapped to my arm. If this sounds like you, then youll want a player with a greater amount of storage on it. Whichever you choose though, remember to read the guides, and good luck hunting!

Digital Music: Good Deals On MP3 Players

Finding Good Deals On MP3 Players
By the time that youre done reading this guide, youll be able to find good deals on MP3 players online! Hopefully I will be able to help you make well educated decisions on which player would be perfect for you, and I hope that youll take my suggestions on where to buy the players seriously as well! Im here to help!

Its not a good idea to go searching for good deals on MP3 players at your local mall. Chances are the selection of players will be much, much smaller than most stores online, and the prices will be a lot more money as well. Your best bet is to use a site that is devoted to selling MP3 players so you can find the best possible prices.

Which Player to Buy?
If youre not sure which player to buy, you must start your search by reading this entire MP3 player guide! This will help you learn the different terms that will be used on the sites, and this is good so you wont be confused while browsing around sites. One of the worst things would be to not understand something and to buy a player that you cant use!

It wont take long to help research your purchase before you decide to buy that new portable MP3 player. Reading up on players will not only allow you to learn more about the players themselves, but also help you track down the best deal for your player. It wont take long to study up, and in the end it will really be worth it!

Digital Music: MP3 Player Accessories

Buying MP3 Player Accessories
Did you know that once you buy your portable MP3 player, theres also a wide variety of MP3 player accessories that you can buy for it? You could purchase many items for your player to do lots of new things with it. There are items you could buy to help make speeds go faster when transferring songs to the player, and to even help make the songs sound better!

One of the first MP3 player accessories Id suggest buying is a new set of headphones. When I purchased my Creative Labs MP3 player, I instantly got rid of the headphones and bought an expensive pair of earbuds. Its really quite incredible to hear the dramatic difference that can be made just by changing the headphones.

Do You Drive a Car?
If you drive a car, there are even MP3 carkits out there that you can purchase to help you hook your MP3 player up to your car stereo. You wont need to bring CDs with you in your car anymore, just hook up your MP3 player to your stereo and you could be pumping out your entire CD collection through the speakers! I know people that have done this, and its a great idea.

Another idea would be to upgrade your computer so it supports USB 2.0 so you can transfer songs from the computer to your player quicker. Theres many more nice upgrades you could make to help make your MP3 player experience a more enjoyable one! Keep this in mind once youve purchased your player, because you want to make the purchase worth every penny!
